Send commentsTOur Councis is a winning team. It has earned Double-Star Council designation four years in a row. One year we even made it to Triple Star. Designation as a Star Council is the Supreme Council's recognition of excellence in a Knights of Columbus Council.
Our new Grand Knight, John Felten, expresses his appreciation and thanks for your trust and confidence in him. He also wants to thank the two immediate Past Grand Knights, Gil Montoya and Jim Boyd, for their leadership. It takes a lot to build a successful council. It takes each and every Knight in Chapel Hill. For that, we thank you all. And, we thank your families, too.
We are about family. We are a group of local Catholic men who put family and service to our community first. This is a rarity in this fast-paced world, but we know that our family and church community are the most important things to us.
We work hard to help build church. We also work hard at helping the less fortunate in our town. Amidst all the wealth and education of Chapel Hill, there are those who need help. We do this by working with the Interfaith Council, the ARC, local schools and churches, mentally and physically handicapped, and the Special Olympics. We also have Knight's Call where our men give a helping hand in our parish and community to those is need. Helping our community is a basic stewardship of the Catholic church. He said, "...feed my lambs.".
Now, the rest of the story. See a video of council activities and learn more about why we are Knights and why you should join our Council.
