Inside and Outside Guards

Each council has an inside and outside guard.  They maintain security and ensure that no one enters the council chamber unless they are a Knight of Columbus.  No, we are not a secret society.  But, if you are not a member of our council, you can not enter the chamber during a business meeting.  The council will open the chamber often for family and church events, but never during discussion or deliberation of council business.

You can easily find out what we are all about by clicking on the membership link under Contact Us.  We will let you join our group and then you can say to the Guard, "I am a member of the Knights of Columbus."

Inside Guard

Jerry Pilarski.  Jerry is a very active member of our church and council.  He is our lead cook for church and council barbecues and fish fries. He also cooks the pulled pig for each of the church picnics.  This saves the church a lot of money that can be then used in other church programs.  Through his friendship with local business owners, we are able to raise over $3,000 each year to benefit the church.  The money we raise in our events for the church pays off church debt.  Jerry is also a member of the Fourth Degree.

Outside Guard

Rick Datiles.  Rick controls access to the council chamber.  He, too, is very active in the church and local communities.  Through his support and encouragement our church continues to grow and prosper.  A special project for Rick the Divine Mercy Apostolate. Rick is a member of the Fourth Degree.
